We are so happy that you chose Manor By The Lake for your wedding day. We know that planning a wedding can be overwhelming, so our experienced team have put together this handy online Wedding Journal to help you through your wedding planning journey.
Please remember that you are not alone, and our expert wedding planners are on hand 7 days a week to answer any questions you may have and to guide you through every step of the process.
If you think you need extra help, we also offer a full ‘Planning Plus’ service, which can help you with all the finer details.

Your wedding journey
Below is an overview of your wedding journey with us at Manor By The Lake, as we want to make sure your wedding planning journey is as smooth as possible. Our team is available 7 days a week, between 9am - 5pm, so please reach out to us if you ever need any help or would like to book in a meeting. If you would like to show your family or friends around the venue at your own leisure, we host a tour day every 6-8 weeks. Please contact the team for more information and to book a day in.

THE PLANNING SHOWCASE
Towards the beginning of your planning journey, you will receive an invitation for the Planning Showcase at Manor By The Lake.
This is a great opportunity to view the whole venue (including all 12 bedrooms), meet our recommended suppliers, view all of of our décor and in-house additional items, and try some evening food.
Receive a 10% discount on eligible items.
THE TASTE
This is your chance to sample some of the chef's selection of canapes, starters, mains and desserts before making your menu choices for your wedding day.
You will also get the opportunity to try some house wine, and talk about cocktails, mocktails or soft drinks for your day.
At the taste, you'll meet the Chef & Bar Team, and have the opportunity to ask any questions to the Weddings Team.
THE DETAIL
9 weeks before your wedding day, you will need to let the planning team know...

FINAL PLANNING MEETING
Your final planning meeting will take place 9 weeks before your wedding.
You will be assigned a Wedding Planner, whom will run through your day from start to finish, going through every detail of the day.
Within 2 weeks after your final planning meeting, you will receive a copy of all of your wedding plans to review - including an Event, Timing & Menu plan.
Final payment for your wedding is then due 6 weeks before your wedding.
Your wedding plans will be finalised 4 weeks before your wedding.
Around a week before your wedding, your Wedding & Event Manager will call you to introduce themselves & to go through any last questions before the big day!

How do I book my registrar to marry me at Manor By The Lake?
Now that you have made the very exciting decision to get married at Manor By The Lake, if you are wanting a legal civil ceremony to take place with us, please proceed to book your registrar as soon as possible by calling 01452 425060. You can choose anytime 1pm onwards for your ceremony to take place, any questions which you have about timings before you call the registrars please just ask.
What time can wedding preparations start?
You can begin your wedding preparations in the Cottage from 08:00 on your Wedding Morning. Earlier access can be arranged if you need an early start!
Access to your chosen suite in the Manor House is from 11:30. The team on the day will advise and assist when this is ready for you to move across for those finishing touches and photo opportunities.
We also have our wonderful Rock Bar as a secondary area – access is from 11:00 and this is a wonderful space for your photograph opportunities.
What time is check-in and check-out for the bedrooms?
Guests are welcome to check-in to their bedrooms from 12:30pm. Check-out is at 10:00am the following morning.
Can you cater for special dietary requirements?
Our chefs are happy to accommodate any dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and allergies. Please let us know in advance of any special requirements so that we can prepare accordingly.
Are you able to help us plan our wedding?
Absolutely! We offer a Planning Plus service which is always available to you. If you are interested, please let a member of the Planning Team know, so that they can go through the different services and options to you.
Is my dog allowed at Manor By The Lake?
Your dog is more than welcome to join you for your wedding day. The only time dogs aren't allowed in the room is during food service, but we do have a pet friendly room - Room 12. Please let us know in advance, so the team can prepare accordingly.
